🚨 Brewood Smart Alert: E-Bikes, E-Scooters & Road Safety 🚨

We’ve received reports of e-bikes and e-scooters being used illegally on roads and in public spaces in Brewood village.

⚠️ Know the law:

Privately owned e-scooters are NOT legal to use on public roads, pavements, or public places.

E-bikes must comply with UK regulations (pedal assist only, limited speed/power).

Any modified or high-powered e-bike may be classed as a motor vehicle, meaning insurance, licence, and helmet are required.

Failure to follow the law can result in:

Seizure of the vehicle

Fines and penalty points

Potential prosecution

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents & Guardians – do you know what your child is riding?
We are seeing young people using e-scooters and modified e-bikes without understanding the risks or legal implications.

Please take a moment to: ✅ Check what your child is using
✅ Ensure it is legal and safe
✅ Speak to them about responsible use and road safety

👮‍♂️ We will be carrying out patrols in the area and will take action where necessary to keep everyone safe.
